My wall lights arrived yesterday and am happy to say they are now in place.
Have been looking for so long that when other half said he liked them I thought time to go for it.
They certainly look better than the old ones which came with house when we bought it.

i have just purchased two tickets for the proclaimers big top tour next june.six thousand capacity tent .standing only.leith links was sold out so we are going to the gig in kelso.need to find somewhere to stay now.

I'm sure that will be a good show banjo.

I booked tickets back in 2018 to see them and would have liked to have seen them in Scotland.
Ended up seeing them in York but it was a great night out.
The venue was good and so was the supporting act.

Personally I prefer to remember the acts of old as they were not the diluted version of their modern selves, not so much The Proclaimers but The Stones, Rod Stewart, Elton John and countless other acts who just won’t exit stage left and perhaps help younger more talented acts come through!
What you tend to see is a highly professional performance constructed by session musicians, backing tapes and engineers, and let us not forget the debacle that was Rod Stewart at The Queens Jubilee!

agree with all you say henrysix.the proclaimers are still doing lots of new stuff though and always have young lesser known acts as support.admiral fallow this time round who are brilliant band but probably not too well known outside of scotland.we managed to get accommodation sorted as well.my birthday and our anniversary that weekend as well so going on to edinburgh for a couple of days to make a wee holiday out of it.

Banjo that sounds magic, Auld Reekie, us old uns, I’m 64 but have the integrity of a 24 yr old Ned, we should have a wee moot sometime at a convenient spot, I love Edinburgh too, it would be great if before we all snuff it we could get the gether for a night and just blether, have a swally and finish it off with a huge Doner!

Who knows if we have any energy left we could get aff to one of those new Discotequeche joints

Forget to say Dot should buy the kebabs what with her being so flush and she might get us a discount for quantity.

If we do it I might not eat from the day before to get my moneys (Dots money) worth.

Well I might stand the two of you some kebabs but there would have to be a good fish & chip shop nearby.
That would be a good feed especially if there were a few mushy peas along with it.

I might not be just as flush now having had to part with more than a few pounds for my dry cleaning.
Three heavy curtains - two for windows downstairs and one big one that pulls across a glass porch door in the evenings.
The lady apologised and said that it goes by weight of curtains. They are very heavy cloth to be fair and I had to carry them
to car park in two separate trips from the shop. The lady actually offered to help me carry one of them but I didn't want her to have to close up the shop on my account.

I do like pitta bread and red cabbage just never really been one for a kebab.

I saw a man this week doing his shop dressed in a coat and top with shorts, bare legs and flip flops.
I kid you not and am guessing he must have a cosy house.
I couldn't go outdoors with bare feet in this weather - shivering at the thought of it.

got eleven holes of golf in today,first round this year.mrswifewummins birthday tomorrow.
