I was out delivering magazines this morning before 8.20 a.m. and thought I had picked a good day.
It was bright but before I had finished a huge shower of rain came on and I was soaked.

My own fault as had worn a heavy winter anorak which is warm but not really waterproof.
Okay in light showers but on plus side all mags delivered and people will be able to read about what is happening in local
area over the coming weeks.

Dot just checked my Mail and no sign of it, surprising really as The Beano, The Bunty and the Bare Arsed Monthly all arrived safely on the mat just yesterday!

henrysix,i only got the beano and the bunty.who do i complain to.

I loved the Bunty when I was younger and remember 'The Beano' well.

Bunty had the cut out paper doll at the back page which you could dress with outfits.

All those characters in 'The Beano' including Dennis the Menace, Minnie the Minx and The Bash Street Kids to name but a few.
I was called 'Billy Whizz' in a previous office I worked in as people thought I moved around at a rapid pace.

my golf season starts today.

I had a rotator cuff operation on the 29th March, nearly two weeks on still recovering and getting more mobility everyday, I am using Paracetemol and decided not to use The Oral Morphine, too many diving saves in 1960s Glasgow Streets caused it, favourite Beano Biffo The Bear

Hubby has been away to Portugal earlier this year as one of his golfing friends has an apartment out there.
There were meant to be four of them going but one took Covid a few days before and the others just went ahead with trip.

The Masters is part of hubby's daily viewing at the moment.

i put four quid on the grand national and won nothing.two weeks ago i won two hundred in the cheltenham champion tipster competition in my local pub.

I was doing a bit of a tidy up in the house today and found two items which had been missing for some time.
One was a necklace which I thought I had lost as I hadn't seen it for months but I suspect my kind hubby had stored it away carefully in a little trinket dish in a spare bedroom. The other was a cameo brooch which has been missing and I suspect I put it away in the same room and forgot about it.

I do have a jewellery box before you ask but just pleased that these items turned up.

well done dot.now can you get over here and find my wifes gold and garnet chain that i got her for her birthday in january and also the keys to my golf locker as i have clubs in there and i have mislaid the keys.

I have found things can turn up in the most unexpected places.
A lost earring turned up in the laundry basket and a bracelet ended up in the car near the base of the seat belt mechanism.
Catch had come undone.

I would be checking the bathroom cabinet, sock/undies drawer and maybe any coats, handbags that haven't been worn/used for a while.

Would the golf club have a spare key?
My hubby found a missing key of the garden shed in his golf bag.
