Was looking through old copies of the Evening Times and found this from December 1983
https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid= ... page&hl=enPublican John Waterson re-opens The Whitehall Pub as the Maltman. The Whitehall pub restaurant was the venue where Manuel arranged a bizarre meeting with William Watt to share information he had about the murder of Watt's family.
The Maltman remains on Renfield Street today.
