Some nice stanks there Mr Sam, the Davis ones help show the range of this company. Some of the others ie the Glasgow plumber ones, seem to be companies that must have bought a supply of castings with their name cast on them, this is something I hadn't come across before but I suppose makes sense.

That bridge seems to be turning into a right waste of money, still if Stirling managed for 150 yrs without it at least its not causing much inconvenience!

What is the bridge for? I can't recall ever thinking 'if there was a bridge at ........., Stirling would be so much better' I think some bulldozers and a return to it's historic routes would be better for tourism

the Bridge is to link 'Station square' (the still to be built padestrian square in front of the station) with 'Forthside' (the Development of the MOD trainsheds + Cinema)

Forthside - http://www.stirling.gov.uk/index/stirli ... thside.htm

Station Square - http://minutes.stirling.gov.uk/pdfs/env ... 0174om.pdf

Its all a vision thing

Seems I need a trip to Stirling. This new layout (*cough* vision *cough*) seems inspired, I cannot picture how this will work. A pedestrian square in front of the station, is that not a main road? I'm confused, must see with own eyes.

As to location it has survived so well because it's undercover. The Stirling Observer ran an article on it a few years back (perhaps at 60 years after wwII?). If i find anymore hidden treasures then I will let you lot know
