Is there any actual date/time for the tower block paint bombs to go off? I'd love to see it but don't fancy hanging around for days!!

I went by at about 3pm today, but it was a bit chaotic thanks to a bit of a smash at the junction with Aitkenhead Rd. Heard some bangs when I was out with dog later on, but we're talking about 9pm - anyone see anything?

I went along at 6pm and stood until 8pm they had several camera run throughs with the remote helecopter and cameras on the ground and on lifts.the light was the problem as the sun was in and out of the clouds.
I was listening in on a walkie talkie and it looks like tomorrow now,I guess they only get one go at a job like that.

After 3 days of waiting and watching I finally managed to get some pictures of the multicoloured flats - all this spare time - it definitely pays off being a teacher!

Anyway - enjoy the pics.

I was initially in a better position (without the crane in view) but just before the finale, everyone was moved behind a line - right behind the crane!

Note the wee radio-controlled helicopter in the picture. :D

Does that paint wash off with the rain?

or

Is it permanent?

I might go take some pictures of the mess today, now that I'm an unemployed bum!
