We're in the stickiest situation since Sticky the Stick Insect got stuck on a sticky bun.

Fergus and the rest of us regulars are trying to keep this spot quiet.

Is TheWickets still open?

I've only been in Chinaski's a couple of times myself, really like it, definitely got the feel of a hidden gem about it, aye maybe we should edit these posts out....

Wetherspoons on Argyle Street has a good beer garden/seats outside, McGinn's has a few seats outside too. I like them both.

Beer Gardens

Postby THISTLE4vCELTIC1 » Tue Aug 01, 2006 4:25 pm

Chinaskis is great.

CCA Scott Street Bar has a nice beer Garden, as does Cottiers and the beer garden outside that pub on Blackfriers street in the Merchant City... whats it called again?

Babbity Bowsters.

Chinaskis has gone down hill with three bar staff disappearing when you want a drink. Fergus is not in as often as he was and his manager could do with some retraining in customer care. It's not a student union he's working in.

I was in London last week and Polish Bar staff seem to be replacing Australians. Just as blonde only different accents.

Made it into Chinaskis last night, very nice. Beer garden was full to the brim so sat inside. Definately go back there.

Wickets has been bulldozed. Shame, had an excellent beer garden. What's the deal with the adjacent cricket club? Can you just turn up at the bar or do you need signed up?
