My picture proved hard to take as I kept being hassled by the Big Issue salesman! Not such a problem in times past...

Has anyone seen any earlier pictures of this building? What happened to all that black stone round the doors?

I can remember being in that building not long before it shut down as a bank. I'm sure a few things occupied the building before Borders took it but I can't remember what exactly

That bank provided the setting for the robbery in Christopher Brookmyre's 'Sacred Art of Stealing'. The robbers made their escape by burrowing into the subway tunnel running beneath!

Trying not to go off topic, but I always thought that bank was used to film "City Lights" - Can anyone confirm or deny

I can deny. They used the bank at the corner of Mitchell Lane for City Lights.
