Is there any chance one could get an mp3 of the Theme Tune to Cavalcade?

Are they transferring all the episodes?

I'm not sure how many were actually recorded, but STV are getting rid of all their one inch tape archive and transferring what they can onto digital tape. All to do with the move to govan - apparently there's less space for storage so big tapes are being copied onto small tapes.

AFAIK (I dont work in the library) its a question of copying what they can in the time/budget available. Bear in mind Glen Michael is just part of this archive. There are thousands of hours of High Road there as well.

BTW - The ones I've seen copied were the whole shows, cartoons 'n'all. There is I'm sure , a copyright issue if they were to show them, but they're just being archived, not broadcast. I doubt they would have time to edit them onto digital tape anyway, more a question of setting up the tapes and letting them copy while staff get on with other stuff.

I dont suppose you have access to any old Airwolf episodes do you?

Or, old adverts?

This one has some good scottish region stuff, including scottish adverts:

http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/

Unfortunately it was down when I tried it tonight. It's a popular site though, so I doubt it'll be off for too long.

Here's another (non scottish)

http://linux.tc3net.com/darwin/80s/adverts/

As for Weir's Way, you can rent the individual DVDs from the box set from this site:

Cheers,

What the hell was "Paladin" by the way? I remember the name, but can't remember what he/she/it actually was. Google just shows millions of pages about some kinda sword and sorcery type figure situation.

Isn't this new-fangled internet wonderful. I'd no idea he is/was Cecil Buckland from Devon. As a boy I just thought he was from Embra.

Oh yeah. I remember it now. It used to "talk" with Glen's voice slightly deeper and all echoy. Cutting edge technology at work.
