1 Firebird - Argyll Street (might object to being called a pizza joint, pizza dough is perfect though)
2 Philadelphia Chippy - Kelvinbridge (always been consistent)
3 Di Maggio's - Buchanan street (was #1 but has fallen down in recent years - but lunchtime pizza slice, chips and juice for £2.45 isn't bad)
4 Italmania - Giffnock (pricey)
5 DiMaggio's pronto - West Nile Street / Port Dundas Road

Dino's on Sauchiehall St - eat in rather than take away, for some reason it's better...

Dino's - Sauchiehall Street, very nice, usually.
Philadelphia - Kelvinbridge, excellent all round.
Diablero (sp?) - Pitt Street, best tomato base ever, let down by the crappy frozen bread base.

Bar Republic on Gordon St. - 2for1 most days, and they're magic.

The Liquid Ship do quality Mexican style pizzas- usin 2 flour tortillas stuck together way tomato passata instead of the dough base. Genius!

Antipasti on Byres Rd, if you can be bothered waiting for a table. Also their seafood pasta (in tinfoil) is fabulous.

wiping the drool off my chin as I'm thinking about it!!!

Di maggios do a nice calzone.

There's a good wee pizza and pasta place out at the shops over the road from ASDA in Milngavie (I know it's not in Glasgow) I forget the name though.

Gambrino on Gt Western Road also do pasta in tinfoil. Gambrino's is pretty good - might have to dump one from my list now
