A terrific line-up for this year's 'Aye Write.'

Brilliant day out at 'Aye Write' today with Catriona-Lexy Campbell and others talking about the stage version of her father's book, 'Shrapnel', this was a well-attended Gaelic event; then Margaret McMillan talking about 'History's People', looking at the question of whether it is people or events that shape history and finally, a packed out main theatre for Tom Devine,' Restless Nation, Scotland, 1999-2016 and beyond."
Great to see the old placed so busy - there were other events on throughout the day.

Agreed that the line up this year is pretty good.
We were at the reading / discussion about Brutalist architecture on Saturday and a great sell-out (not that meaning) talk by George Monbiot of The Guardian on Tuesday.

Looking forward to the St Kilda event on Saturday and Glasgow mapping the city on Sunday.

We were also lucky enough to be in a queue quite close to the new Makar, who was being congratulated on her appointment and seemed an all round lovely person.
Glasgow ya bas!
