For first time in a while, I had Stovies, made as my dear old Mum used to make them when I was a kid ! I know there's lots of different recipes for Stovies but the only change I made to Mum's recipe; sausages, onion and sliced potato in OXO cube gravy, was to add some garlic and capsicum. Came up beautiful !

Daddy/Daughter day tomorrow.

It shall be grilled home-made garlic chicken with a sweet leaf and baby plum tomato salad and a fresh peppered vinaigrette dressing.

Relatives over for tea, tonight, so went for home made Steak Pie, Boiled Tatties and Carrot/Turnip. Followed that with Red Velvet cake and the ladies consumed a very nice Pinot Grigot.

Pasta e fagioli, then grilled Cornish sardines with a tomato and onion salad. Three sardines were 47p at Tesco, fresh too - bargain of the week.

Was planning to have pork tonight but after today's front pages, I'll stick to something veggie.
