Cafe′ Cossachok

Postby old jock » Fri Apr 24, 2015 5:36 pm

Went there for lunch yesterday.

Russian influence so very wary & when I got the menu I was not much the wiser.

However the food was great, the place clean and service attentive.........................it was also more than reasonable.

King St near the Tron Theatre, I was there with a group of ex work mates (who are always moaning usually about the price) not one complaint everybody loved it.

Worth a look IMHO

Just thought I'd post it up

Had the Pork Nicoise to start, but also tasted the Cold Borscht both were excellent

Had the Moldavian Gouvetch for mains which was pretty good but should have gone for a meat dish.

We ended up with 2 shots of Vodi rounds to finish..............they have quite a large selection of flavours

THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE, along with the beers earlier my head was pounding for a good bit of Friday.

If going again I'll have the cold Borscht to start, its purple/red but tastes sort of cucumbery/yoghurty and is served with 2 potatoes and an egg (No Clue). I'd follow that with a meat or pork main

That's just what I'd do

DISCLAIMER I take no responsibility if you go and think its shite.
