All welcome.

HH

Looks like Petra's been busy

I should be able to make it I reckon looking forward to it and seeing some familiar and maybe unfamiliar faces.

Whenever I get my ass in gear I've been looking into a wee wander along some of the old railway lines in the West end. No tunnel walking or anything just tracing some of the old lines.

I know just about everybody knows about them but some of the stuff I've been doing, on and off, cleared up a few things that puzzled me, so maybe some will learn summit new.

Dont forget if youre travelling there and back in groups to get group save tickets....33% of groups of 3, 4 or 5 people.

Return from Queen St is £12.60, trans at 00 and 30 mins past the hour (via falkirk high) last train 2330

Cheers, Tobes. I do have my bus pass though, that should get me a cheaper train ticket, no?

I'll second that. I have been privileged to have a preview of old jock's map / google earth research on the west end railway lines and it looks like a cracker of a day out!

You're right the answers NO!
Strathclyde only - we were told last year.
Unless things have changed since then, I don't know as we've gone by bus since.

Sorry i couldnt get back to you, my laptop knackered

As already said, sadly no, each council has their own restrictions for the card, as its dependant on what that council pays to transport scotland/govt to allow their residents to travel

Start of April, central/falkirk withdrew their concession, edinburgh withdrew it years ago. Another alternative is a senior railcard (once u hit that age)
