... and a nip over to Bothwell, too.

Hello! Long time no see on here :)

I am arranging a wee walk, hope you can make it!

Meet at Central Station opposite the Solid Rock Cafe on Hope Street at 11:00 to catch the low level train to Blantyre at 11:24 - arrival at 11:44.

We will come back the same route so probably best to buy a return ticket.
It's just a ride.

There may well be some very muddy bits, so please wear your finest walking boots :)
Oh and since the days are still rather short we may not have much of an opportunity to stop long enough for lunch so I would suggest you bring snacks to keep you going :D
It's just a ride.

Talk about the art of understatement

Great day fantastic to see all those there, fantastic company one and all.

Big thanks to Poodie for going to all the trouble of organizing, very much appreciated

Risking a £1000 fine and putting those fine long-johns at risk!

Thanks again Poodiecat for all that research and finding the muddy parts of Blantyre. And I would have never had a pint in the Hoolets Nest otherwise.

Oh god, yes. I haven't spent so much time trudging through mud since the Commonwealth Games walk.[/quote]

I like the Dusty Bin averting its gaze on the right. And who could blame it?
