Watch a sequence of "late night shopping" being shot at Glasgow Central low level station while waiting on a train. The "Girl in the Picture" has shots of Queen Margret Drive etc. Actually saw that film in London-made me feel homesick for Byers Road!
Well done Neil. I know how Hollow Horn would have taken this to heart.
I'm still looking for a fim whose plot involved a porter who was employed by the University of Glasgow who was hiding his past as a poet and a member of the IRA. I think it was released in 1951 to in association with 500 years of the university. The cast included a very young Andy Stewart.
"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.
i think your movie is 'You're Only Young Twice', though the IMDb reviewer refers to a the acting debut of Ronnie Corbett, with no mention of Andy Stewart:- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0030998/reviews
Thanks Neil. No wonder I couldn't find it. I could recall a young somebody in it and picked the wrong one. Ronnie Corbett! I don't remember it being hilarious (ten stars? review) but I wouldn't mind seeing it again.
However I don't it's worth £9 for the DVD.
Just found this

I'm honestly in two minds about going to see World War Z. It's been about five years since I read the book, and it's been nearly two years since they filmed the damn thing. Plus of course the whole "fast zombies" bit doesn't sit well with me.
Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind, And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.
