I knew there had to be a thread on HG devoted to the gable ends of semi-demolished tenements, no matter how denuded of it's photo content by the ravages of time ::):

Anyway, here are two more from Tollcross showing the internal decor of six former family homes:

Mauve and myrtle? What must these colours have done to the morale of the occupants? :(

Looks like two of those families shared a taste for a certain colour, or a tin of paint :-)

Aye, and some sneaky bugger (probably a junkie) has been shuffling through the hole in the attic wall at some point too!!! :roll:

Now that would never happen in Glasgow would it??

Here is another example from Greenock, taken yesterday morning so chances are it will be gone now.

Cheers SM2U. Not sure who the contractor was , but River Clyde Homes are using Safedem for the remaining multis at Belville Drive? They are doing a blow-down instead of the previous nibbling.

I don't understand the economics of demolition.

Take the high-rises near me for example. They've got three blocks to demolish, and it has to be a nibble-down for one reason or another. So they bring in one of those really expensive long-reach things to do the top floors, but instead of nibbling the top off all three, they do one, leave it sitting around idle for (literally) months whilst they use standard equipment to do the lower floors, and then bring it back into action for the start of the next block.

Eh?

it'll be something to do with the cost of hiring the big long reach thing.

We trundled through HH last month too.

The kids whooped with fright/delight at that zigzag bedroom one.

Nearby some pleasantly mundane decor;
