The Jeannie Deans (on St Vincent St) closed, reopened briefly as Barco and is now Riccardo's.
I hear the people sing.

Compared to the Dowanhill?

I was in on Saturday night, They've painted the wall paper black so the colour scheme is black and cream with red leatherette benches and stools. It's still the Dowanhill without the puggy and projector, St. Mungo's lager is £3.70 , the computer driven music system was pulsing out the Gay Disco playlist at a reasonable level. There were a few old Dowanhill regulars and a mixed aged crowd of over thirties with a predominance of males.

I think the working classes are being driven towards Dumbarton Road. The Aragon was full of middle aged and middle class men of working class origin. The Common rooms were quiet, Oscar's is closed and bar Soba is a haunt of the mid twenties.
"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.
