The current building is Grade B listed so the plans involve façade retention and a new build property filling the rear and the gap to the right.
I know this isn't really anything new as there have been a few planning submissions before for similar sites, however with the regeneration of the area it would be nice to see the site getting some use. Everytime you look at the building it seems to be falling into a worse state of repair.

The food was good particulalry the fish and steak.
They used to have a guy on the piano when I've been in and on one occasion a piper.
I suppose it wasn't in the best place, not being in the city centre or west end.

In a situation where a Community Council is (Inactive) does anyone know just who has the right to object to any given set of proposals?
My (limited) experience of Community Councils (CC) is that the automatic response to any development proposals is 'how do we stop this?' (regardless of the nature of the proposal) but, in the absence of a CC, what happens?

Any individual can object - it's just that community councils are specifically notified about planning applications as the local authority is supposed to take their views in to account. Don't know what happens elsewhere, but in Glasgow the planning dept. is certainly not known for paying any attention to the views of local residents
And it is certainly not true that community councils automatically object to any development proposals - it's just that the ones that reach the press are the controversial ones.
