Why it was never built on originally is anyone's guess - perhaps it took them 20 years to forgot about it being a silly idea to begin with, cos Christ knows it certainly wasn't that they were waiting for an absolutely first class design to come along...!

Any idea where? It wouldn't surprise me to be honest, but I might be able to confirm or deny this rumour.

I'm afraid not - I'm not from that neck of the woods. I'd say look out for a
roundabout that only has two ways out of it, or maybe they've since added
a third?

HOPES were raised today that Glasgow's infamous pedestrian bridge to nowhere' could finally provide a vital city centre link.
A charity is hoping for up to £50million in lottery funding to finally complete the half-finished bridge across the M8 motorway at Anderston...
