How come that says Norfolk Street on google and yet the street sign says Nelson Street? a google mistake?
Wonder too how far the trail of empty bottles goes in that small gap? 8O

Nelson Street starts at the junction with Norfolk Street/Bridge Street wheras Norfolk street ends there, I dont suppose Google who are not renowned for accurracy felt the extra metres mattered to much.

Access to the signals above perhaps? or just another arch no longer used.

the necropolis is great for a spooky atmosphere, got a photo of an orb inside one of the tombs, when the orb is enlarged you can clearly see a young girls face and curly hair.when your leaving pause on the bridge and listen carefully for a minute, its worth trying, also as you enter from the bridge take the path to your left and go up the hill, sit for a minute on a bench or wall see if you get any feelings

I think every hospital must have a ghost of some sort claimed.
The Southern had a grey lady, who was supposed to be the ghost of one of the nursing sisters who hung herself.
He advocated for the weak against the strong, the poor against the rich and labour against capital.

The Royal Infirmary is supposed to have a few too. One is a guy in a ward who pulls the sheets off the bed during the night, and the other is a nurse in old uniform who walks along one of the corridors.

The western infirmary is haunted by a surgeon.
Is this gonna be a standup fight, sir, or another bughunt?

Well it is haunted by quite a few surgeons but I'm presuming you mean a dead one?
Any idea who its supposed to be?

supposed to be a brain surgeon called Sir William Mcewan.

Deserted hospitals are the scariest places.
This is the best example I've been to in Omagh Co Tyrone ( no pics of mine cause I'm uselesss) - the old district hospital/asylum complete with boardered off tunnels where they kept some of the severe cases - still chains on the wall 8O

Someone elses site with good pics;

The bit of the Western supposedly haunted by the brain surgeon was the old A block theatre, currently car park just south of the WILT.

Bit of a bump here and new to the forum but I recently came across this post after doing a search for this ghost of Dalmarnock Road bridge.

Around 9 years ago I used to live on Dalmarnock Road and one dark, winters night I left my flat to go up to Rutherglen Main St for something. As I was walking over the bridge I saw a guy, round about the same age as me, dark jacket, dark jeans sitting on the parapet on the 'wrong' side of the bridge looking down onto the Clyde.

I asked the guy was he ok and did he need any help but he never even seemed to hear me or see me and paid me no attention whatsoever. At the time I just put him down to being a local loonball who's either smoked too much or drank too much and was just having an off day.

So I left it at that, went up to the Main St, came back down and the bloke was no where to be seen. I left it at that and never thought any more about it until I came across a story about that particular ghost the other day. Every single story I have read about this matches mine (apart from him jumping) - the description is the exact same; dark clothes, short dark hair and around 30ish.

To be honest, it rather freaked me out a wee bit the other day so if anyone else has any information on this I would dearly like to hear it.
