Image I took this without a tripod as you can see by the focus, but's the sky at night as seen from the Whiteinch Football Pitch

Hehe, no - I actually didn't notice it until I'd uploaded the pic! One of my mates was with me, acting as bodyguard (not to mention transport provider). I've got another almost identical pic with him leaning against that lamppost but I chose the sans-mate version for here :)

We did have a couple of close encounters actually. I thought we were in for trouble when a couple drifted towards us over the bridge at the quay with the female asking, "here mate wit ye filmin'?", but they were actually some of Glasgow's finest and only wanted their picture taken :D One guy sauntered up to us in the city centre though and started talking away, quite jococo but soon revealed he was a borderline meltdown case because Celtic had lost the league to Rangers (he did also mention he'd been married 3 times though so maybe it was THAT that was about to push him over the edge). We heard numerous (presumably largely football-related) distant shouts too during our walk. Since I don't bother whatsoever with football, I missed the fact that Rangers won the league yesterday. Had I known, we wouldn't have gone at all.

droschke7,

Don't put yourself down. Your photos are brilliant, especially to a guy who left Glasgow nearly fifty years ago and now lives on the other side of the world. The various forums are my link to the past and photos like yours warm the cockles of my heart !

Tombro :D

hope we can do it again, I learnt quite a bit on Tuesday and hope to learn more, but this time without the rain and hopefully without the clouds. Another place for at least one or two good night shots is at the Oran Mor. The Pub/club/church has a Blue Halo which is lit at night. Here another photo from Tuesday Image

Some cracking shots here folks - well impressed, I am! RG, your second one particularly appeals.

Ahh, go on! You know you want to!!

Well, I want you to anyway! Every shot has it's own unique qualities and good points, and we NEED to see them.

So there!
