I think (If I remember correctly) that might have been Woodilee.

But,

More likely it was Lenzie Hospital - which was a surgical / convalescent hospital for all the big asylums.

St Enoch Hotel and station:Do you ever think we will ever look at the glass shopping center and say "that s a great replacment, glad we did it now"
Citizens Theatre : Although the Theatre still stands the pillars and statues of Robert Burns and William Shakespeare that formed the facade are missed
The Carrick: wonderful Ship with loads of history, that part of the Clyde has never looked the same without her

The old Public halls in Springburn...
I know it's not demolished but it's in pretty bad nick.
I'd have loved a looksee in it in it's heyday.

I pass there on the bus most days, and keep meaning to investigate... but never do. I think I read somewhere online that the sculptures on the front of the building are the only surviving work of their creator?

1. St Enoch Station and Hotel.

2. That small police station on Balmore Road. What were they thinking? I bet neds have free reign in that area now...

3. The old train station building on Balmore Road, next to BP. It's still standing, but very, very dilapitated. :(

1 The Apollo - so I see the Clash and the Stranglers play again and besides the Barrowlands isn't a patch on it.
2 Tiffanys - so I can see the Dead Kennedy's again, or is the structure still there in the casino?
3 Waterloo St Bus Station - so I can see if it really was on two levels or is my brain playing tricks on me.

OK so I need a time machine too.

As a cinema and theatre nerd/expert, I'd like to see:

1) The Empire Theatre
2) The Alhambra Theatre
3) The Odeon - not actually demolished, of course, but the original interior was gutted in 1970 to create 3 screens.

Here's a pic of the original Odeon interior I found when I still worked there - this dates from the its last few years as a single auditorium, so around 1965-70 sometime.

1 Townhead Library (all of Townhead would be nice)

Spent a great deal of my childhood in here (and Denistoun library... is that still there?)

2 Pinkston cooling tower

3 The Monkland Canal (OK not a building but... )

I would nominate the following
Darnley Fire Station demolished around 1972?
The railway Inn on Nitshill road facing the railway station which had a lovely walled garden.
Darnley House of which I have never even seen a picture (hint to the experts) but can recall the remains of its tenents cottages.
