Is there anybody around, who is old enough to remember an area called MAVIS VALLEY. I think that it was an area just north of the canal between Lambhill and Cadder Cemetery. Any memories will be much appreciated.

The 'Kirkiebus' no. 70 to Lennoxtown would go 'via Mavis Valley' even in the 1990s! What this meant was a detour off Kirkintilloch Rd, down Balmuildy Rd then back up Hilton Rd to rejoin Kirkintilloch Rd at the Eagle Lodge.
