Apparently King Creosote at the ABC was great last night - I wasn't there, though.

I'm going to the whisky masterclass at City Halls at 4pm today. That's going to be the best gig ;)

I've not been to any of the gigs but have now done two of the "Come And Try" sessions - mandolin and stepdancing. Not sure my talents lie in either direction, perhaps I'll have more luck with the small pipes and clarsach next weekend!

All we could hear at the Whisky Tasting was Teenage Fanclub soundchecking through the wall behind us. Possibly a good thing, depending on your personal thoughts, but maybe not so good when the wee guy from Bunnahabhain had to shout for most of his talk...

Hi there.

I don't know if anyone else was at the opening march on George Square? There was a massive march with lots of pipe bands and stuff...

I found a video about it:
http://www.scotlandontv.tv/scotland_on_tv/video.html?vxSiteId=60fdd544-9c52-4e17-be7e-57a2a2d76992&vxChannel=Exp%20Events&vxClipId=1380_SMG1698&vxBitrate=300

Did anyone else go?

Richard.

Such a poorly edited clip. The voice-over wasn't any better. The piping didn't sound as if it was live.
