Is'nt all this glass a bit of a godsend for bombers?

Wow yeah i see what you mean - this NEW building has GLASS elements in it so must be not just BADLY DESIGNED RUBBISH but will be a great target for the waves of suicide bombers gearing up to attack the city!

because OLD buildings would never be like that eh?

My overriding memory of those shops is standing there as a wee wean with my mum waiting for the bus to Toryglen. One of the shops must've been something like a travel agents because it had this cracking big model of an airliner in the window and I'd stand staring at it, wishing I could play with it, then the bus would come.

Yep, there was a florists, a travel agent, an R S McColl and of course Arnott Simpsons department store on the corner. You could also get a 2 to Ruglen and walk back to Toryglen if the 12 didn't come.

Never seen that proposal before! - obviously it's still a patch of waste ground, but the fact that the old Graphical House building (which used to contain Morrison's Bar and the Riverside Club) is still to the immediate right looks plainly daft. How did it escape being flattened as well?
