Can someone tell me how to stick an Avatar to my post. When i go into my profile i use a photo i have sent to photobucket. No matter how many times i reduce its size using Irfanview as soon as i try and load it the profile section of HG tells me that it must not exceen 8KB. Can someone put me right on this please.....

If you have a '.bmp' file (and are using windows), open it up in Paint and 'save as' type 'jpg'. If it is small enough to meet the dimensions criteria, it will almost certainly meet the size one too in this format. You can upload from your pc - no need to use third parties.

Don't suppose going into a huff, stamping my feet and refusing to eat my dinner will work then?

Mmm, ah well, back to my main man it is then!

I uploaded mine to flickr then opened up the All Sizes' option clicked and saved the smallest one and hey presto worked for me.
