Postby escotregen » Tue Sep 05, 2006 8:23 pm

I've just had a message popped up when I tried to submit a reply - You cannot make another post so soon after your last; please try again in a short while

Is this something new, it's never happened to me before? In my case I was responding to another HG person asking me something on a thread... dosen't this You cannot make another... rule cut across interactive posting?

Is the world coming to an end?

the message yo got means pretty much what it say. Theres a post count and time set so that the boards cant be spammed. If you try and post twice in relatively quick succession you'll get that mesage.

Similar thing happens with the search!

That one I really, really don't get though. It actually makes things worse. I know I've tried searching for something before, then tried searching again for something similar but come across that message so just went ahead and made a thread anyway. I'm sure I can't be the only one.

Be patient, it leterally only requires a few seconds between each submission. It helps to prevent the servers grindign to a standstill which would be a whole lot worse than waiting for a few seconds between submissions. Also helps differentiate between man and robot.
