Information on posting to the forums can be found HERE

Basically, courtesy of Crusty Bint

"Posting pics
First off, for ease of use, continuity, anal retentiveness and a whole host of other reasons, we suggest you keep you picture sizes to 800X600, you'll also need somewhere to host your pics (See >File Hosting<), then its time to introduce yourself to the tags. The premice is very straight-forward, simply insert the url of your hosted image between the tags, like so:

[img]http://www.wherever.com/your_pic[ /img]"

Pick a few (not hunners!!!) of your best and post in the relevant thread.

have you seen the horrible way they have blocked these bridges off - a silver metal roadside style railing concreted into the ground across the entrace to the bridge.

Were they unsafe?

Not according to the guys who put them in some years ago. When they had drained the pond (as they used to do often) they erected these posts - with the intent that it would stop 'boaters' going under the bridge. According the old guy who was putting them in place, the barriers prevented folks jumping out of boats or exchanging boats as they were not visible from the 'pay kiosk'.

I don't know if the above story is true but it wouldn't surprise me.

Interesting, although I was talking about the bridges now being blocked to pedestrians

The bridges look good and strong to me, but the planks you walk on are rotting.

When they were first closed off, this sign appeared !!!

Yup this was a tactic we used all the time, the Parkies used to chase us to ge the boats back, had some great times in there. i remember being about 13-14 and we got 2 boats with 4 friends I jumped in to the other boad just beside the bridge and capsised it. we all got very wet.

hmm them where the days.

Used to do it myself - almost 25 years ago now when I was at St Tams just up the road when we got bored with Double French and wanted to be pirates!
