It's a cockatoo (cockatiels are smaller). Just in the continued interests of pedantry this is [post #2]. Still, that bird will likely be a picture of health long after yon boy is mouldering in the grave. You might exect "cockies" to last 75 years in captivity.

Being even more pedantic, it is a sulphur crested cockatoo. There are other kinds of cockatoos.
