History lesson:

"Vintage" relates to cars from the period 1919 to 1930. It's a shame that the media refer to more recent cars as vintage thereby encouraging others to do likewise.

Triumph TR6 (1969) and Stag (1970) came much later than the Spitfire (1962) which was based on the Triumph Herald, which is therefore "The Daddy".

I'm at that scary age when normal cars are verging on at least modern classic status.

My mate has an M reg Granada Cosworth mothballed, he bought it nearly new, other cars have come and gone, but the big Cossie has remained.

Personally I'd love a Cavalier Turbo in the garage. I seen a Mk3 Cavalier SRi saloon on the M8 the other day and it still cuts the mustard as a motorway munching repbox, it has aged very well indeed
