Some cinema interiors - what a cracking little program Autostitch is, considering that these pics were taken with no intention or regard for stitching together...

I reckon there should be ways to ensure there are no ghosts, but it'd be an extra bit of work. Maybe next time. :)

Thanks for dropping the Autostitch hint. Much more enjoyable having a cup of tea while the Pc sweats, rather than peering at and resizing image edges

I must admit i like the ghosts, but it'd be nice to have one version ghost-free, perhaps.

Yeah apollo, autostitch is great. I only downloaded it last night, and as i said it was my first attempt (hence the missing sky - didn't get enough shots :D) but it turned out quite good.

And it's free. And small. And fast. Ish.

Wooo I'm carrying out my first photostitching operation
in work. Nobody else has a scoobie as how to scan A3
photos on an A4 scanner. I've told them it's a dark
art and will at least take several days :P ::):

edit: Bollocks. NTL modem crashed (only the second time today, w00t!) and made me double post.

really, al? How many sections did you scan it in? Plenty of overlap? My photo there was made up from 23x 2048*1536 images, to make one 3922*2626 image, so (fair enough it WAS my first go) i reckon you need quite a bit of overlap.

For A3 i'd do *at least* 9 A4 scans.

Vladimir, this gives it away, all 321,000 tonnes of steel and takes
an eternity to stop, once up to speed

Those are looking ok, alchemist. :)

Another hint: In the edit/options menu, i changed the output size to 100%, to give me the biggest size, which i then resized in PSP. I also changed the Other options Jpeg quality to 100%.
