Whatever happened to that busker that did Argyle Street years ago, the one-man band set-up.
He played John Mayall type blues numbers.
He was called "The Bang On Boogie Band" I think :?
He was brilliant to watch.
He had an ad on his cases on the ground - "For hire, weddings and all other functions" ::): Imagine a one man band at yer wedding :? Or maybe even your funeral 8O

Busking for the Special Olympics

Postby Alex Glass » Fri Oct 13, 2006 7:37 pm

Last year I organised fundraising to help support the Special Olympics.

We raised over £1,000 between Karaoke in the Square and Busking in Buchanan Street. We had the support of Councillors, MSPs, a couple of Journalists and Council Staff.

Ah mind a guy in a bowler hat, swallytail coat & kilt, he used to tap dance on a wee board and whistle the accompanyment, index fingers pointing skyward. A sign with the legend "Subject to Epileptic Fits" alongside.
Also Abadou at the Barras with the Snake Oil.

I enjoyed watching and listening to the guy in the Slash outfit playing Guns'n'Roses tunes in Buchanan Street today. There was something about his playing that makes me want to watch Spinal Tap later on. Most enjoyable. :)
