Some pics from a Cathedral in Edinburgh I was in today, pretty amazing stained glass!

Very nice pics indeed. Good exposure and very sharp. Did you use a tripod ?

Nope handheld. Stained glass needs surprisingly fast exposure times so that the highlights arent blown out.

I can't remember whether this church has stained glass, however there's an amazing painted ceiling at the Mansfield Traquair Centre in Edinburgh.

The centre is now the main office for the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations - I was in there for work and got a wee sneak preview.

Am not sure if its publically accessible, I might see about nipping in to take some shots when I'm next in Edinburgh, it quite unusual. Also I think its undergoing slow renovation work as well....

Anyways, a pretty interesting place...

There's some excellent stained glass in Sandyford Henderson Church 13 Kelvinhaugh Street, Glasgow G3 8NU

You can get a bit of an idea here http://sandyfordhenderson.net/about-san ... lding.html but it's better in the flesh. They hold a free drop in dafe on Weds mornings. Check it out.
