Took these on my way to work.....

Abbey Bridge, towards the abbey.

Abbey Bridge from afar.

Image

Paisley Abbey main entrance. See howw the left hand side seems to stick up a wee bit, due to the weight in the middle?

Image

Paisley Abbey from Gauze Street. Don't know who the woman is though?

At the side of the Abbey, right of main entrance.

Round the back of it.

Strictly speaking, it's a river not a canal. :D

Nice pics BTW. You've captured Paisley's unique 'greyness' perfectly...

Nice pictures.

I was in Paisley the other day. First time I've spent any length of time in the place (cept for a broken train once. ARGH! and one time I went to Vienna's Nightclub.)

I was in the town centre, and a pub while my mate went for an interview. Quite a nice little place I thought.

But I didn't have my camera.

I've been working in Paisley since January, and all I can say is....it's nice at night. Infact, that's not fare. I think that Paisley is one of those realy nice places to photograph, but you don't incase your camera gets nicked (and I'm 6ft 2), you know what I mean?

Would have loved to have got inside the Abbey but it was closed unfortunatley. If you can ever go up and see it from the outside it at night looks spectacular though. I could take pics 3 days a week but my camera is'nt the best.

James,

I thought it was a river, but decided to ask a local and was told (in no uncertain terms) it was a canal :). Did'nt wan't to argue due to the sheer presence of the person I asked. 3ft nothing, but'dve eaten me alive :).
