That looks like a Filipino has emigrated to Glasgow. You can tell by the fact that he's got jack of travelling against the other traffic and has now parked it on the wrong side of the road !

Or, maybe just maybe, he found his Driver's Licence in a packet of Corn Flakes !

That's gorgeous. I saw a similar one in Stockwell Street the other day. I don't know if they share the same engine block as the later CX: a neighbour of mine had a '78 model C-matic, a three-speed semi-automatic. He was a retired aero-engineer with the obligatory "shed" and one of his prized possessions was the tool he'd made for retrieving the spark plugs. You won't get at them with a normal socket-set apparently.

I noticed further up the thread there's an SM. Some Californians turbocharged one to see what it would do and they had it running at 200 mph at Bonneville, I believe. Closer to home, a garage near where I lived decided to turbocharge a 2CV for a laugh and performance was lively according to Autocar. Their editor borrowed it for a weekend and had it up to 90mph but it caught fire on a motorway sliproad. I think the article was entitled "Escargot Flambé".

I've never owned a Citroen myself. My sense of humour isn't quite weird enough.

I think what I meant was: my sense of humour isn't robust enough. I had a Mini break down on me one night so I just pushed it along the road until I reached a street light, opened the bonnet, waved a screwdriver at it, said a few magic words and we were home about ten minutes later.

Try doing the same with an XM and you'll probably beam the whole plot to Pluto if you touch the wrong part.
