New boat will save Renfrew ferry link

MOVES to replace the historic Renfrew Ferry with a pedestrian bridge are likely to be scrapped because of the £15million bill.

Instead transport chiefs are expected to agree that the existing boats be replaced.

The decision is to come after a £60,000 feasibility study was launched last year into the future of the 200m Glasgow crossing bet- ween Renfrew and Yoker.

the last time I was on it was a Sunday afternoon in July six cyclists and two people heading for the work both picked up after the ferry returned for them.
"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.

Pliers on the nuts will probably work :?

Took this one earlier this year, I’d never seen the water so high. Notice the self propelled wheel barrow!

Oh dear. Wheelbarrows...

Plod stopped me one night for not having lights on mine. I can still hear the laughter.

It would have been funny if I hadn't just dragged the fucker 10 miles from Wells with a fortnight's shopping in it and spilled the lot across the B3139 up the hill from The Panborough Inn where I'd been bracing myself for the last three miles of the journey.

The world and his dog told me that the wheelbarrow needed flames down the side of it (being an airbrush artist it was expected...) In the end, my ex-stepson did that with the aid of a lighter and fluids unknown.

Those are the days I've left behind, you'll be glad to hear.

The only cheer in the tale was the look on the missus' face, delighted at a fortnight's feed for minimal cost and no effort (on her part).

She didn't begrudge me the refreshments in the Burcott, Pheasant and Panborough, neither. Might struggle to do that mission again...

Sorry. It's got fuck-all to do with the Renfrew Ferry, but someone said "wheelbarrow"... I'll shut up now. Phew.
