These are Nodrog's* pictures from the top of the Uni tower, stitched together by Autostich and hosted by imageshack, so embarrassingly I have contributed nothing to this

I did, however, think the result was worth posting (clicky):

Have tried stitching the 1901 pictures without success. Not enough of an overlap, alas.
Does anybody who knows what they are doing care to give it a go? :D It would be the ultimate then and now!

Hang on a mo - just remembered that I did have a go at this a while back...

http://www.chem.gla.ac.uk/~gbarr/hg/1901_panorama.jpg

I'd totally forgotten it as the results weren't terribly good.

I've got fairly high-res copies of the 1901 shots somewhere if someone else wants to have a go...

Cheeky wee avatar there Sharon :P

Here's a stitch from the roof a few mins ago Had to do a massive size reduction, otherwise it would have wiped my image bandwidth limit for the day.

Yip it's from the roof of the nautical college, handy when you know folks
that got access to that sort of view. Been on that roof before to
watch the fireworks in "The Green", rather too close I must add ;)
