I have to say I find the second one much more evocative, a real feeling of cold, grey stillness...love it :D

... It's actually the Glasgow Casting Club on their regular Sunday practice session.

In the last picture you can see the bright orange leader that actually wrapped itself round me mid cast. I was so busy concentrating on getting the shot I walked right into the path of the whipping line. :oops:

Ta Minxy .. I enjoyed chatting with them. We had a wee gab about the arrangements for the club and so on when the leader of the group informed me they were only on the pond until lunchtime because the model boat club has it booked after 12 and then continued on to say how the Casting Club all thought it was pretty weird that grown men could be so into model boats.

I looked up from the camera and gave him a look that obviously said "They're weird?" and after a moment of recognition on his part we both fell about laughing. :D
