Umm, I use Smugmug.com for all my photography.....

Unlimited storage space, and a healthy amount of bandwidth each month. I use it as a backup of all my photos. You can hide galleries and put passwords on them too.

It's pretty easy to use, and only $30/year. You can save a few quid more by using my referrer code: JyZcG7XRRRZgc.

On the downside you don't have total control over how things are laid out, but you can still faff around a fair bit with the layout, if you get a "professional" account (doesn't cost much more).

I'd prefer if I could customise the design of everything a bit better, it'd be excellent if the site used proper tableless CSS, so that I really could control the layout precisely....

Thats my tuppence worth....

This is quite a good file hosting site, the downside is that it takes some time to upload files...
Don't dream it. Be it.

I'd recommend Flickr for image hosting.

on the photo page, click either the link that says 'all sizes' above the image, or the link that says 'different sizes' on the lower-right. This takes you to a page where you can then choose which size image you want to use. Make your choice (thumbnail, fullsize etc). Beneath the image is a bit of html code that you can copy and paste anywhere that html is accepted.

If you're posting the image here, you'll need to turn that into bbCode though. Just right-click your image, choose 'Copy Image Location' (if Firefox), or Properties then copy the address (if IE).

This appears to be a new web hosting site (not a pic hosting site like Photobucket for the non-techies)

http://www.hyspex.com/

Free Package
Space 500MB
Bandwidth 5GB
Email Accounts unlimited
Email Lists unlimited
SQL Databases unlimited
Sub Domains unlimited
Parked Domains unlimited
PHP Yes
Perl Yes
Support Yes
cPanel Yes
Fantastico Yes
Price FREE!
Free Domain No

Not a recommendation, as I haven't tried it, and FTP is missing from the option list given above.

I was considering it for images instead of Photobucket etc. as it's more generous, and installing one of the free gallery packages. One of the conditions is displaying a (small) link to the host.

Anyone knows of it or tries it might post feedback.
