UFO

On Christmas day around midnight I was driving home from the south side and saw four orange orbs hovering in the sky. The orbs were large and seemed to flicker when they moved. I'm pretty sure these were Chinese lanterns, but wanted to be sure. A couple I know of mentioned that they'd seen similar lights in the sky earlier in December.

Have any of you seen a similar sight at that time? Is there an event on Christmas day where laterns would be let into the sky? Would it be to commemmorate the tsunami in 2004?

Cheers

TC

I saw a few around 8pm on Christmas day, though it wasn't in Glasgow. Did look like lanterns. Large, bright orange blobs which rose quickly, became stationary, then gradually faded out.

Set off a few of these myself over Christmas. At 99p, I imagine many other people would be too...

They are a great idea for remembering loved ones. My niece set one off on hogmany in remembrance of my mother. I thought it was touching.

I must admit, I saw one on new years day and wondered what it could be. My niece phoned me later and told me what she had done the night before then I knew it wasn't a UFo, bummer!
