YER NO GETTIN' OAN

Postby OLDFART » Thu Oct 04, 2007 6:52 pm

Glasgow friendly place...... yes usually but today i found the most miserable bus driver in Scotland never mind Glasgow. On nice 44a going to town, quiet about 1.30pm bus pulls up at co-op sorry Sommerfield Victoria Road woman was about to push wheel chair on bus he shouted 'yer no getting on' no explanation nothing. Closed doors off to next stop to change drivers. How bl**dy miserable is that.

Drunks, junkies, tramps who smell a bit all get let on but guy in wheel chair nae chance. The bus has space for pram so plenty space for wheel chair

That is pretty bad.
There are some cheery bus drivers out there though.
From what I've heard, First are a shite company to work for and a lot of drivers hate working for them.

I saw 4 Chinese tourists get on a bus in Jamaica St. last week asking the driver in very good English for 'The Pollok Centre'. The driver told them it had been demolished. Turns out they were trying to get to Pollok Park.... :? :?

Write to First at Victoria Rd Depot and tell them. I had a driver on the no 18 disciplined for much the same behaviour. I'm not sure what disciplining involves, mind you. Maybe they tortured him with the cushions and the comfy chair? But if no one tells First their drivers (a minority, IME) are behaving like that, they can't sort it out.
