Wasn't it a guy called Stephen Clarkson that actually decked the attacker.

You ask me this Smeeton character is getting too much of the credit.

WHIT'S THE SCORE?

You dissin' the Smeatonator? ;)

It's a bit of fun in an otherwise rather depressing situation. I hope when the 1000 pint mark has been reached that any staff at the airport whether involved or not, police and passengers come along to the Holiday Inn and get a pint. I think the fact that he was just himself on camera makes him endearing to lots of people.

JohnR how the fuck can you read that and state "sensible words". These pricks have caused utter mayhem all over the UK and by the sounds of it Australia was next. There incompetence in not succeeding to blow innocent people to Kingdom come is neither here nor there. They set out to cause damage and in one way or another they succeeded . If the had succeeded in carrying out the desired full effect I am sure all the loonies would have been shouting from the top of there illegal mosques, thankfully the never did and all the loonies that helped them are denying they had anything to do with this so called splinter group.
The prick that wrote the paper obviously is in no way affected by this act of terrorism.
Thank you. And why not.

Blimey have you been taking your angry pills? And please don't swear at me! The point of the article was to point out that this has to be put in some sort of perspective.

The article was written by a former armed forces UK bomb disposal expert so I will give his words more credibility than yours.

You have gone off on several tangents in your reply which have nothing to do with the content of the article so don't have a go at me about something I wasn't actually saying.

Ok that's the meaningful content over you can all get back to John Smeaton trivia.

The Register wrote:The Register is dead brilliant.

It's a shame they always come across as so deeply in love with themselves, because the article's pretty much bang on.

No, no they really haven't. And not just because that isn't what "mayhem" means.

Thanks it did Ally. I am working on something very tedious at the moment which is taking up too much of my time plus I haven't been out to take any pictures in over 2 months now.
