Phoned a work mate at the airport who was outside then it happened. Said the bloke on fire was put out but a few folks were saying let the bastard burn.

The AP is reporting that the two men are under arrest.

Two men were arrested, Strathclyde Police spokeswoman Lisa O'Neil said.

Be thankful that they only had the will and a Petrol Bomb.

You can imagine the results if they had a more sophisticated Bomb, they could have taken out the Terminal and everyone in it.

Allegedly, the burning man, when fighting with the police, was screaming that there were bombs all over Glasgow.

Also, as reported on ABC news last night, but not on any news channel here as far as I know. The silver Mercedes with the bomb found in London last night was seen in Scotland somewhere a couple of days ago and then was caught by a speed camera on the M6 heading for London.
The hill goes up and down.

Increased security at Glasgow Central now as well with only one entrance to the station open - I would assume this will be Gordon Street.

My brother was at the airport in the departure lounge.

Their holiday has now been cancelled and they've been told they will have to walk to Paisley to get transport.

Could be worse I suppose but last year they got caught in Hurricane Katrina when they went to Cancun and spend most of the holiday huddling in a basement!

Posted on the scot-rail newsgroup a few moments ago...
=======================================

Just heard from my girlfriend's Mum that its only the side entrances that
are open - Gordon Street entrance is closed with the gates shut - a vehicle
could easily get through there if the gates are open.

Cheers,
Ian

=======================================

Handy info if anyone is venturing towards Central.
