Also missing in action

Vice Versas - Wee Ministrel like things but with a twist, you got a dark shell with white chocolate filling or vice versa, hence the name

Jolly Ranchers - I really liked these, but they got taken off the market because they were carcinogenic?

These got re-released a few months back on a trial basis to see if there was still demand (i think), the only place I saw them was in Woolworths though... 3 packets for 99p, how I took advantage of that offer :D

Though they sound unappealing, I loved both varieties. Anyone remember these, and if so how about starting a petition to have them put back into production? :D OK, maybe not...

Ooh, I loved them, although I guess they just weren't popular enough over here.

They're still made in the US, and Cybercandy sell them - but don't have any in stock at the moment. Take a look at http://www.cybercandy.co.uk/search/inde ... %20Serving).html

I'm surprised, seen as how this has turned into an episode of "I Lopve the Seventies/Eighties", that no-one, in a Stuart Maconie way, has said "Wham Bars" at any point....

Now that I have, I shall be Peter Kay and start to whistle the theme to "Terry and June"....

Rivella was, if I recall correctly, first advertised in the UK in 1999 by Neil Morrisey (Bob the builder fame).

Never, ever, ever did find it in the shops though.

Ever.

I remember Irn Brew sweets and Top Deck Shandy.

Cant remember the name of a particular sweet I used to eat. It was a soft,
chewy bar, which was multi-coloured, and didnt taste of anything in particular. :?

chelsea whoppers were great; you can also get these from a newsagents on Byres Road (the one with all the property ads in the window), and Mo's 24 Hr Store on Argyle Street (and probably the other branches too)

I remember that one James, the same size as the large Highland toffee only thicker, multi coloured diagonal stripes each a different flavour and the wrapper looked the same, but was it Striker? I remember unwrapping it each time and being extremely disappointed the stripes on the wrapper didn't match the colours and order of the stripes on the bar.

Top Deck. Ahh, Top Deck. Memories, memories... There was another one, Shandy Bass I think it was, looked like a real can of beer. Many a ten year old, including me, got pulled for that stuff. 8) 8)

Just remembered, Eating Paper, bloody awful but equally addictive. That's what got me addicted to the taste of bleached jotter paper.
