I'd love to come back to Glasgow to take some photographs of the high rises. I'm sure it would be an evocative subject matter both inside and out.

Is there still the danger that whilst standing beneath one of them - a large widescreen tv could come crashing down at any moment?

and if so, is it worth the risk? I could handle pieces and jam, easy.

all the best
Robert.

What kind of numpty would chuck a valuable item out of a window... that said i do recall chatting to a despondant looking guy ina pub many years ago. And when asked why he looked down, he said he'd just thrown his telly out of the window as he had freaked out at realiseing he knew what was happeng in several soap operas. "So aren't you happy you've been free'd from that? " I asked, only to be told "no, my mum got me a new one".

A friend of mine told me that as a misbehavin' kid - one of his uncles hung him from his legs out of the 22nd floor of one of the red road flats as mischevious sort of tongue in cheek punishment.

You just can't get that kind of thrill at the Shows.

eek

access to the high rise buildings is harder now for non residents mayhaps. Maybe the secret is to get there before 11.30 and use the trades button on the intercom. Then it's just a case of wandering about and taking evocative shots of long corriders etc....

I love those kind of images.

I've seen a, errr, female hygene product, drifting down from a semi highrise in Drumchapel :| It landed a few feet away from me and a pal, we thought it was a bandage that had fallen off someone's head.
(We were only about 7 or 8 years old btw).

If in doubt, stand well back and you'll be safe.
