My diary says Saturday 26 October 1996, so Allyharp is the winner.
Since the thread is about the Clyde, and since Pgcc93 has been doon the watter this week, the prize is ... Millport and the Clyde: A History and Guide, by J R D Campbell, published in 1995. It's a rather nice 120 page book with a comprehensive guide to the isle of Cumbrae. 8)

If that's not you bag, I'm sure someone else will want it, and you could do a Noel's Swap Shop (or whatever the programme was called) with them. :)

I don't know if my insurance covers prize winners on the good ship but I will take victims *onboard @ no extra cost. Caveats apply.

* victims/innocents/prizewinners should make personal /accidental/ death / meant it. Etc :!: claims in person to their broker. Check your house contents insurance....your house may be at risk. No salesman will call  ::):

So how can I collect my prize then?
Millport's a beautiful place so I'm sure it'll be a cracking book.

Prize redeemable at any Hidden Glasgow outing - the next one is on May 22 through the Clyde Tunnel. If that suits you ...

I have exams during May, so I shouldn't really be spending my time wandering through the Clyde Tunnel, although I really do need to do it sometime. You can give the book to someone else on that trip, I'm sure somebody would be happy to have it.

Best of luck with the exams, ally. There will be a couple of trips in June, and if you're coming to any of them I'll bring the book.
