"SPT has started completely revamping Glasgow's ageing subway system at an estimated cost of nearly £290m.

The project will see all 15 stations redeveloped and new driverless trains brought in."

This..... I must see.

Thinking about the disruption to the New York subway, what would happen to the Glasgow network if St Enoch (I guess that's the most likely) was flooded by the river?

Is St Enoch 'high ground' as far as the circle is concerned and water would keep flowing until it reached the lowest point or is St Enoch low down and water would hardly move at all?

I thought they were going for driverless trains like the DLR?
The St Enoch trailer seemed to show a train with a driver.
He advocated for the weak against the strong, the poor against the rich and labour against capital.

Durachdan,

Eddy

What happened to 'artist's impressions'. Are 'concepts' the latest b#####ks term used to seduce planners and decision makers now?

SPT

26/10/2012

SPT chairman George Redmond was joined by Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and SPT Director of Projects Charles Hoskins at Govan Subway station this morning to announce the grant from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Those stations wouldn't all be within Ms Sturgeon's constituency, would they?
