Hi There,
I was just browsing through google picking up information on Reid & Todd's and came across this forum. I am actually the Granddaughter of Douglas Reid, The owner of Reid & Todd's. So i have lots of original paper articles etc that my gran had collected over the years. Its so nice to know that people are still interested in my families history, My aunt now has a shop in Milngavie so we are still proudly carrying on the family name! :D

Long ago I was the manager of James Grants furniture store which was situated at the corner of Jamaica Street and Argyle Street and faced Arnotts. I dont know when Grants got started at this location but I take it the Colosseum must have been long before Grants took over the site
