They used a pirate version of Photoshop.

John Lewis are to feature in a programme on Wednesday 10th March at 9.00pm on BBC2.
They started filming last year and it was to see how they were coping with the recession.

I remember coming up to Glasgow when I was wee at Christmas and going to see Santa at Lewis's. I got a balloon that was tied to my wrist and it got free and floated all the way up to the top floor from the food hall, where we were standing. Can still smell the foodhall!

Aye now you're talking... Lewis's food hall....I can still smell the cold meat and cheese counters!! And you had to keep walking 'around the block' to get the escalator up to the next level, and the massive Lego department on Level 5....happy days!

The record department was in the basement.

I worked for Stirling's for 5 years and have to disagree. They had a good selection of products but some customers (like the above poster?) thought that we were mind readers and could magically produce what they had in mind! When Stirling's and Lewis's closed it was the beginning of the end for Glasgow city centre.

PS if any fellow ex-Stirling's staff are on here please pm me. I'd love to know what happened to them.
