He's got an autobiography out now, just in time for Christmas, called Life's a Cavalcade.

You'll find a link to his theme tune here and to Off the Ball with Glen Michael

"I before E, except after C" works in most cases but there are exceptions.

seeing him on the news yesterday(http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-n ... d-38131807) led to it being known that some one in work had been on the show doing an ear wiggling contest, ive hunted the interwebs but cant find that particular show.

can anyone help?

There's very little of Glen Michael out there online - a few random snippets of Cartoon Cavalcade, mainly a Christmas Special near the end of its run, as I recall.

Was at a union conference a few years back (the union I rep for also covers broadcasting) and got chatting to an STV rep - this was shortly after they moved to Pacific Quay. He'd told me that a lot of stuff was ditched, with only a small selection being digitised for posterity. Cartoon Cavalcade was specifically mentioned as being affected by this. Not sure how reliable the account was.

I thought it ended up in a museum somewhere?
He advocated for the weak against the strong, the poor against the rich and labour against capital.

Fitting then that "paladin" is also a type of wheely bin (the big round cylindrical ones on castors like you used to find in the high flats and outside schools etc). You never see those anymore. Quite rubbish really..... ::):
